Accessories. Zurg's Hat, Cape, Accessories. OK the basic Zurg suit is a toga like dress thing. Fold over a long piece of fabric and sew up the sides leaving arm holes and cut a neck hole. I also wore a black cumberbun. The collar piece is foam like the hat and spay painted. The "Z" in the red circle was fabric over a Win 95 disk - maybe the best use of Win 95 I know of. Anyway with the hat and cape the collar piece is fluf. Come to think of it for a Kid I would use t-shirt transfer stuff and my ink jet printer and iron the Zurg collar / chest piece onto a t-shirt. I made a purple toga by folding over a long piece of fabric and sewing up the sides. Be sure there is enough of a dress to be able to walk. For a 7 year old I would go with a purple t-shirt and maybe do a wrap of fabric tucked into his pants, if you want the whole dress look. That way it would just pull out if it gets caught on anything. Finishing touches - Zurg gloves with wrist collars. You could get gardening gloves and paint them gray. Zurg gun. The Disney store used to sell noise making laser blasters. I used a bubble blowing gun - our local bed bath and beyond had'm in the summer. (More fun less noise than the Disney toy) Here I am at the machine making one of the boys a Buzz suit. You can see the foam chest plate thing. It was attached to the cape. I made wrist things like Zurg's. The were pieces of needle point stuff cut so the made a cone like thing. These were a pain to wear and I wouldn't do them for a kid I would get some gray leather work gloves and modify them into glove wrist things if Jr. insisted on wrist thingies. I also made a mask out of the needle point stuff and rigged some lights into the yellow mouth. This was way over the top but fun. I tried to wear sun glasses for the Zurg's eye look but couldn't see a thing. I also had a funky bubble gun. This was great fun.
